lolo jones was the us favorite to win gold in the 100 m hurdles. she used to be poor and used her athleticism to do something about it. she won first in the semifinals and was favored to win gold. it went to another teammate after she stumbled in one of the last hurdles.
i was a swimmer so i can understand how horrible the moment after feels.
