who wouldn't want a story like this? the pure, clean unrapist version, of course

this guy in ny spotted the girl of his dreams on the subway and was too shy to approach her. so he drew an ad, passed it along (craigslist? i do not get craigslist... who is craig??) and people passed it along and along and along until
voila! he found her!
and they went on a date and i think it went well.
stories like this make u not think of the satanic rapist story you read last night.

a nice romantic letter

State of California
GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
SACRAMENTO 95814

RONALD REAGAN
GOVERNOR

My Darling Wife

This note is to warn you of a diabolical plot entered into by some of our so called friends - (ha!) calendar makers and even our own children. These and others would have you believe we've been married 20 years.

20 minutes maybe - but never 20 years. In the first place it is a known fact that a human cannot sustain the high level of happiness I feel for more than a few minutes - and my happiness keeps increasing.

I will confess to one puzzlement but I'm sure it is just some trick perpetrated by our friends - (Ha again!) I can't remember ever being without you and I know I was born more than 20 mins ago.

Oh well - that isn't important. The important thing is I don't want to be without for the next 20 years, or 40, or however many there are. I've gotten very used to being happy and I love you very much indeed.

Your Husband of 20 something or other.

2 kids try eloping to africa! so cute, it's ridiculous

Two German kids--Mika, six, and Anna Bell, seven--were in love and wanted to get hitched. So they decided to fly to Africa to tie the knot, according to Sky News.

Along with Mika's five-year-old sister, Anna-Lena, they packed suitcases with food, swimsuits, sunglasses and even an inflated pool float. In the early morning of January 1st, while their parents slept in, the three adventurers sneaked out of their house in the German suburbs and took a tram to the train station.

A guard noticed the kids and thought it was weird that they were carrying so much swim gear. After all, it was the dead of winter! He called over two police offers, who managed to convince the not-so-happy couple that they probably couldn't get to Africa without, uh, money or plane tickets.

"We wanted to take the train to the airport, and then catch a plane. Then we would unpack, and get married once we arrived. Then we wanted to go for a little holiday," Mika explained, disappointed.
